Abstract:

An experiment was carried out at Research farm of Agricultural Research Station, SKRAU, Bikaner during kharif, 2022 on loamy sand soil. Total 16 treatment combination comprising of four levels of organic manures (FYM 10 t ha-1, Goat manure 7.5 t ha-1, Vermicompost 5.0 t ha-1 and Poultry manure 2.5 t ha-1) and fertilizers levels (RDF 100%, RDF 100% + 250 kg FeSO4 Soil Application, RDF 100% + 0.5% FeSO4 Spray and RDF 100% + 25 kg FeSO4 Soil Application + 0.5% FeSO4 Spray) was laid out in factorial randomized block design with three replications.

The results indicated that application of FYM 10 t ha-1 significantly increased soil moisture content, organic carbon. Goat manure 7.5 t ha-1 improved available nitrogen, potassium and Zn in soil. Phosphorus and sulphur in soil and their content and uptake by kernel was enhanced by Poultry manure 2.5 t ha-1. Moreover, bulk density and pH of soil significantly decreased with FYM 10 t ha-1. Particle density did not influenced significantly by manures application.
